Life Groups are an integral part of the life of our church. They provide connection, friendship-making, and opportunities to grow together in one’s life of faith. Some of our groups meet monthly, some frequently, and others periodically. Each group is meant to provide you with a way to connect with others while deepening your spiritual journey.
We offer a weekly Wednesday evening Bible Study plus seasonal faith studies during Lent and Advent. We have studied the hard sayings of Jesus, followed lessons taking current events paired with a relevant Bible study, or watched a television series paired with a Bible study. In each of these ways, we make Bible study fun, informative, and spiritual.
Pioneer Congregational Church is dedicated and committed to your spiritual life. We engage this ministry in various ways. From faith studies, to community events, to organizing care kits, to fellowship, we provide ways for you to help others while growing in your faith.
The new Queer Fellowship is a small group ministry where LGBTQ+ persons meet in a variety of settings for various reasons to promote fellowship, friendship, and spiritual growth. We may meet for drinks or coffee, gather in someone’s home, meet for breakfast or dinner, or take in a game. If you are interested in participating, please contact the Pastor or Andrew Chang.
The women of the church meet on the second Saturday of the month at 9:00 AM at the Aviator's Restaurant. They eat, fellowship, and stay connected with one another's lives. If you are interested, please contact the church office or Sue Bryant-Still.
Periodically we show popular movies for fellowship and discussion. Over the next year, we'll be watching such movies as Conclave, Pay It Forward, and Captain America. We'll have refreshments and a lively discussion afterwards about the characteristics of faith and hope in the movies.
We offer leadership development by serving on the various boards and committees of the church that help it function and serve the community. From our Council to Worship Team to Spiritual Life to Outreach, these groups provide an opportunity to help the church develop deep friendships.
