Next Steps
The Pioneer Church exists to give you the best opportunity to nurture your relationship with God and allow you the freedom to mature on your sacred journey as a follower of Jesus at your own pace.
Our mission as a congregation is to inspire you to follow Jesus as we worship, learn, and serve our community together. Your spiritual growth is one of our top priorities. Follow these ways, and you will find God and grow in your faith. If this is new to you, take a chance and see what happens!
1. Attend Sunday worship in person or online, or join one of our midweek activities.
2. Engage in a church ministry, fellowship activity, or volunteer with our Sunday church service. We provide numerous avenues for you to connect and contribute, including joining a small group like a Bible study or fellowship group, or donating to our local food pantry. Everyone is welcome, regardless of their background or experience.
3. Join our choir, handbell choir, or community choir. Talk with our Music Director and see how you can contribute. Our choirs are made up of people with various skills and talents. No experience is necessary.
4. Ready to commit? Join our church. Contact the pastor for more information on church membership. We look forward to welcoming you into our family.
5. Financially support the church.
6. Participate in Leadership Development, which would include joining one of our church committees, serving on the Council, or serving as an officer of the church.

Membership means that you are joining a dynamic spiritual family that is focused on your growth and health as a follower of Jesus. It is also a way to enable you to make a difference in the world you live in. Joining any church is one of the most important spiritual growth steps you can take.
Why do you need a spiritual family?
+ You need healthy relationships that will challenge you to grow.
+ You need to serve God and others with the gifts God has given you.
+ You need to belong to something bigger than yourself.
+ You need a place where you can make a difference.
What are the requirements for membership?
+ A person who has been baptized or is baptized upon joining.
+ A person who has confessed their faith in God and found their guidance through the life and teachings of Jesus Christ.
+ Persons may also become members upon presentation of a satisfactory letter of transfer from another church or upon reaffirmation of faith at the time of joining.
+ At least two months of attendance in church.
+ Attendance at a Newcomers Class.
What are the privileges and expectations of membership?
+ Members in Good Standing are entitled to vote and make motions at any Congregational Meeting of the Members.
+ Members shall be eligible to serve as Church Officers and members of Boards and Committees. Committees may also ask nonmembers to serve on their Committee.
+ Members are expected to be faithful in living and carrying out the essentials of the Christian life, to seek earnestly for guidance through prayer and communion with God, to attend the worship services of the Church, to provide for the financial support of the Church and its wider mission, to accept places of leadership when elected or appointed, and to have a part in the organized work of the Church through its organizations.
