Visitor and Guest Information
We are glad that you are interested in attending our church service and activities. Each Sunday morning, we meet for worship at 10:00 AM - All are welcome!
We are located in midtown Sacramento at 2700 L Street, across from historic Sutter's Fort State Park.
Free parking is available on the street and also in the underground garage at the Sutter Imaging Center next to the church. Enter the valet area from Capitol Ave and immediately turn left to go down to the parking garage.
If you have anything to be included in the announcements please give it in writing to the layperson or guest preacher before the service.
Please let us know you were here by signing the attendance pad at the end of the pew. Ushers will gather them after the service.
Following Sunday worship, you are invited to join us for coffee, refreshments, and tasty food. This is a great opportunity to meet new friends or catch up with old ones. We meet in the Fellowship Hall.
Care is provided after the “Children’s Message” until the end of the worship service for preschool-aged children and younger.
The offering envelopes that are found in the pews are there for your convenience when giving an offering in cash. Please remember to record your name and check off the designation for the offering so we may credit your statement.
Open Communion Table
While this is a theological position, it simply means that you are welcome to participate as you feel comfortable. We have no restrictions on guests or members. You are free to participate in the communion experience, regardless of your understanding of what it means. We believe the communion table is an invitation to experience the unique presence of God and everyone is welcome to participate.
Do you have an individual prayer request you would like to share with us this morning? If so, please write it out on the prayer request card found in the pew racks. The ushers will collect them at the beginning of the prayer time. They will be read aloud during the service and included in the prayers.
Sunday School for Children and Youth
School begins immediately after the “Children’s Message.” On communion Sundays they will return in time for communion.
During the summer, July, and August, our church operates on a more relaxed schedule. The choir, church school, and many after-church activities are put on hold until September. If you are interested in participating in our choir or have children for church school, please contact the pastor or call the church office.
What to Wear
We have a come-as-you-are atmosphere and there are no fancy clothes expectations. However, if you like dressing up, feel free to do so.
If you would like to volunteer on Sunday morning as a lay reader, greeter, or usher, please contact the chairperson of our worship committee, Fay Grundel, or call the church office.
