Join us for our special Lessons and Carols choral concert on Sunday, December 16. Please take note of the flyer below and share it on your favorite social network.
The Pioneer Choir presents music of a great variety of styles – Gregorian chant, Renaissance polyphony, traditional spirituals, brand-new choral anthems, and more. Rehearsals are at 6:30 on Thursdays in our choir room. New singers are welcome anytime. Music-reading skills are helpful, but not required.
The Capital Chorale is a larger ensemble in which guest singers join our choir for special events like a Festival of Lessons and Carols in December, and a work for the chorus and chamber orchestra in the Spring.
Rebuilt in 1993, our organ incorporates pipes from the instrument that was installed here shortly after the building was consecrated in 1926. It also employs state-of-the-art digital technology, including an antiphonal Festival Trumpet that will knock your socks off, and a 32′ Contra Bombarde that you “feel” more than you hear!
Pioneer Bells rehearses on Tuesdays at 6:30 in our choir room, and presents some of the rich repertoire of music for bell choir in worship services – and occasionally in front of the church, serenading Sutter’s Fort Park!
